We assume a "no short cut" approach when it comes to selecting press components for all Sutherland presses. Each component supplier is evaluated for quality, reliability, performance and support prior to being approved by Sutherland.
Power transmission clutch and brakes are supplied by "ORTLINGHAUS" of Germany. Ring fetter combination dry type is standard with option for hydraulic clutch and brake units.
Variable Speed main motors by “TECO WESTINGHOUSE.” Hydraulic systems by “SANDSUN & REXROTH”
Pneumatic components include "SMC" filters, regulators and gages and "ROSS" dual ep-monitored clutch and brake safety valves with "SICK OPTIK" light curtains to protect operators.
Electrical control systems include the "HONEYWELL WINTRISS" SMART PAC II press and automation control with color touch screen and 200 jobs memory. Modular options include: Tonnage Monitor, Die Protection, Maintenance Monitor and more. "ALLEN BRADLEY" can be offered as an option.
QUICK DIE CHANGE and HYDRAULIC DIE CLAMPING systems are optional and are quoted based on application and request.
