Servo Hydraulic Presses

Servo Hydraulic Presses come in all shapes and sizes according to the application.

The one common denominator is the I-PRESS® AB HYDRO press and auxiliary device controller.

Whether you are connecting automation or heater controls for composite presses, with I-PRESS® AB HYDRO you can have one control that can grow with you as your needs increase.

I-PRESS Platform for Servo Hydraulic Presses

I-PRESS® AB HYDRO is Main Run Screen (left) is the most intuitive and easy to use operating platform for our Servo Hydraulic presses.

As you can see in the motion curve (left) we start and end at TDC / Top Dead Center. Our Servo Drive allows for up to 3 Fast Pressing Speeds and 4 Slow Pressing Speeds to optimize complex forming operations and reduce secondary operations. Unlike mechanical servo presses, our system provides the ability to provide up to 100% of press tonnage at any point in the stroke. The red "DW" indicates the ability to program dwell time at the bottom of the stroke prior to decompression and up-stroke return to TDC.

I-PRESS Controls Adjust Tonnage and Stroke Edit Screen for Servo Hydraulic Press

The I-PRESS® Multi-Point Job Set Up Screen (left) allows you the ability to control, distance, speeds, pressures and temperature control for tooling. With the new slider bar set up you can drag to position for distances or tap to enter numeric values for all approach, dwell or return motions.

Sutherland Hydraulic Press with Robotic Cell

If you are considering adding to your press room, we encourage you to contact Team Sutherland to learn about our solutions approach.

With our I-PRESS® Connected Enterprise feature, the Shop Floor is now connected to the Top Floor. This allows selected users to log in from remote PC's or mobile devices to assist operators. The Top Floor knows how productive the press is and see reasons for downtime, a nice new world when you have a lot invested in capital equipment.

The video below shows two 550 ton hydraulic presses with robotic cell producing GM Suburban roof panel with sunroof opening. The complete line can be managed by one I-PRESS® controller with production feed back on daily results.

We also provide a full range of metal stamping presses from small to large. The SP2-440 ton below (medium size) is equipped with our I-PRESS MECHANICAL press & automation control for mechanical presses. As you view the video below, note that the I-PRESS® control is in charge of the press, coil feed line, press tonnage monitor and up to 16 die monitor sensors.

Team Sutherland is the ORIGINAL PIONEER OF THE PACIFIC RIM PRESSES dating back to 1960 when we introduced Aida Presses from Japan. We have had boots on the ground for over 56 years sourcing only the most reliable builders to meet Sutherland standards. We are proud to say that Generation III is sharing the helm and guiding the company to new horizons and new I-PRESS® control technology.

If you are looking to upgrade your press room, servo presses, servo hydraulic presses, mechanical stamping presses or press and automation controls, call Team Sutherland 1-310-453-6981 for an on-line project evaluation.
